Prof. Srivastava has been working in the area of Sexuality and Urban Sociology for more than two decades. His recent publication in the area of Urban Sociology is Entangled Urbanism: Slum, Gated Community, and Shopping Mall in Delhi and Gurgaon (2015). His other works include Sexuality Studies (2013), Passionate Modernity: Sexuality, Class, and Consumption in India (2007), Sexual Sites, Seminal Attitudes: Sexualities, Masculinities and Culture in South Asia (2004).
