[WhatsUpUoH] REVISED PROFORMA FOR RECOMMENDING PANEL OF EXAMINERS FOR EVALUATION OF M.PHIL DISSERTATIONS / M.TECH PROJECT REPORTS / PH.D. THESIS OF STUDENTS - REG.

Dear All,

The panel (s) of examiner (s) that are prepared and submitted for VC's approval (in respect of M.Phil / M.Tech / Ph.D. students) for evaluation of their dissertations / project reports / thesis, respectively, are not in a uniform pattern / proforma.

The matter has been considered by the Academic Council of the University at its meeting held on 19th September 2014 (vide Item No:AC:73:2K:14:17).  The Council approved a common format to be followed by all Schools / Depts. / Centres while submitting the same for VCs approval for evaluation of Ph.D. thesis and M.Phil / M.Tech dissertations / project reports.

The following may be please be ensured while submitting the panel (s) for approval:

1)    The panel (s) be invariably prepared on a single sheet of paper only;  This will save the time for the approving authority and facilitate him for quick disposal of the proposal;

2)    Complete addresses, email ids and contact numbers of examiners be furnished with update information and no column should be left blank; In the absence of update information it is very difficult to contact the examiners for seeking their acceptance.  This is ultimately causing delay in processing the thesis / dissertations by Examination Section.

3)    The proforma approved by the Academic Council be scrupulously followed; (Attached for reference).  Henceforth, information furnished in any another format shall not be accepted and the same shall be returned for resubmission.

4)    The panel of names for Ph.D. students shall be (6) – Six and for M.Phil / M.Tech students it will be (3) - Three names.

5)    The Vice-Chancellor vide his Note dt: 24/12/2014 directed the Examination Branch that the Schools / Depts. / Centres be requested to follow the above scrupulously and any deviation in this regard may lead to delay in approval of panel (s) .

All are therefore requested to kindly make note of the above and cooperate.

With regards,

[WhatsUpUoH] Re: [Sawaaljawaab] Announcing the next Sawaal-Jawaab: Sat Dec 13 at 2 pm

Dr Shubha Tewari

Dear Madam

I would like to convey my appreciation and many thanks to you and your team of scientists for today's Sawaal-Jawaab which was done very well. I am a finance professional and so far as science is concerned a complete layman. Yet if I cd grasp a few bits of what you were all trying to convey today and in the previous SJ sessions it is because of the tremendous effort you are all putting in to reach out to commoners like me.

This is a commendable effort and the intent noble. Pl accept my congratulations and appreciation and thanks.

Thanx and regards,
