ISSUE IV; January, 2014; Fiction of the 21st Century

The genre of fiction, as novel, novella and short story, reflect historical and socio-economical condition of a particular society or culture and the structure of a community. As a form of narrative it records multifaceted realities of social and individual psychology. It also documents the evolution of different forms of expression. The form of Fiction has undergone remarkable mutations through the centuries of its evolution. The forthcoming issue of eDhvani invites research papers discussing various aspects of the Fiction of the 21st century available in different languages and cultures of the world. The aspects to be discussed can include but not be confined to the following:

·         Representation of changing society, economy and culture in the 21st century fiction

·         21st century fiction and history of the past and contemporary history

·         Representative fiction of certain society and culture in last decade

·         Fiction and Literary History in Bhasha literature

·         Industry, Corporate Life and Fiction

·         Trauma of New Century and New Generation

·         Changing Notions of Sexuality

·         Philosophy of Fiction Writing

·         Characters and Protagonists in the New Century Fiction

·         Emergence of avant-gardism in contemporary writing

·         Quest for an alternative in 21st Diaspora: the Question of identity, multiculturalism, global-village, vishwa-bandhutva 

·         Centering the margins in the fiction of 21st century

·         The emergence of new modes of writing: Collage Fiction, Graphic or Hypertext Fiction

 

Last Date of Submitting Full Papers: 5th December, 2013

Intimation Regarding Acceptance/Rejection & Revision: 20th December, 2013

Final Submission after Editing: 30th December 2013

Date of Publishing: First Week of January, 2014
