Dear colleagues,
This is to announce the second event in the discussion series on current
issues in science that the TIFR Centre for Interdisciplinary Sciences
(TCIS) will be organizing on a regular basis for the general public. The
format consists of a short 20 minute talk by a prominent scientist, after
which the audience is invited to engage in an informal, free-flowing
discussion with the speaker. The event is free and requires no prior
background in science, and interested people of all ages are welcome.
This conversation will feature Professor V. Chandrasekhar, Dean of TCIS
Hyderabad, and a leader in creating molecules with metal atoms encased in
intricate organic scaffolds, speaking on:
"Lord of the Rings: The Rise of Carbon".
