---------
We have started registrations for the next Go Heritage Run, this time at Bidar, Karnataka on 2nd November.
As you would know, BIdar is just about 150km from Hyderabad and it would be great to see students from the SIP program come over as well.

Register here - http://www.gounesco.com/go-heritage-run-bidar/.

Why Bidar?
Bidar was the erstwhile capital of the Bahamani Sultenate. It is also on the world heritage tentative list and on the World Monuments Fund 2014 Watch List.
Bidar is famous for its Bahmani era fort and nearly 100 other heritage structures. The Gurudwara (Sikh place of worship) here is a very popular destination too.
What is known to few however, is the ancient Persian system of aquaducts called the Karez network. Bidar's Karez is the largest such system in India and in places 10ft high (horsemen would ride to inspect in those days). We will be organizing an informative tour on 1st November by experts recommended by UNESCO and the Indian Heritage Cities Network - this is an experience you cannot buy!
Look forward to your support and participation. I request you to share the information about the run among your students so they can participate as well. We will be sharing more details about accommodation options shortly.

Regards,
Ajay Reddy
