Dear Colleagues:
This is further to the mail I sent to the university community regarding the forthcoming visit of the NAAC Peer Team during 8-11 Jan.2014.
Essential :
Page 4 of the 'Institutional Accreditation : Guidelines to the Institutions' by NAAC Bangalore, requires that we give adequate publicity about the aims and objectives of the NAAC Peer Team visit.
Here is is, and I quote for the benefit of all :
'NAAC is an autonomous organization established in 1994 by the University Grants Commission (UGC) with headquarters at Bangalore.[The University of Hyderabad] has volunteered for Assessment and Accreditation by NAAC, and a Peer Team comprising eminent academic experts will be visiting the institution to acquaint themselves with the strengths and weaknesses of the institution with reference to quality assurance. The visit is neither an inspection nor an attempt to solve any grievance. The whole purpose is to validate the Self- Study Report and help the institution in quality assurance.'
P.S: Preparation is underway to take care of the academic and administrative side of the visit.Thank you for your cooperation.
