[WhatsUpUoH] Observance of Vigilance Awareness Week-2015 (26-31 October 2015)

 

UNIVERSITY OF HYDERABAD

 

                                                                   FOR URGENT ATTENTION OF THE ENTIRE STUDENT COMMUNITY OF THE UNIVERSITY

At the behest of the Central Vigilance Commission the Ministry of Human Resource Development has urged us to observe the week from 26 to 31 October 2015 as Vigilance Awareness Week on the theme 'Preventive Vigilance as a Tool of Good Governance'. It is desired that we should reach out to youth for participation.

In view of the short notice and also the fact that we are nearing the end of the semester, it is proposed that we do the following brief but useful exercise involving the students of the University.

Let us hold an extensive group discussion on Thursday, 29 October 2015, on "What should we be vigilant about in our surroundings, and what should we do about them?" In order to prepare the ground for the discussion, it will be useful if we have two short and crisp write-ups from the students -- of all levels and disciplines -- expressing their views and observations on

(a) how clean, they think, we are (not more than 500 words); and

(b) how, in their opinion, can the abuse of the system be reduced, if not eradicated (in about 1000    words).

The write-ups should reach by email to vaweek@uohyd.ac.in by 25 October 2015.

The faculty members as well as the non-teaching staff are also invited to participate in the group discussion on the 29th. It will be helpful if they express their desire to participate well in advance (i.e. by 25th) by e mail vaweek@uohyd.ac.in  by 25 October 2015 so that we can arrange the auditorium of suitable capacity.

We look forward to a wide participation in the above activity.
