She has coauthored several MathWorks products, in addition to expanding the core functionality of MATLAB. Loren currently works on the design of the MATLAB language. She graduated from MIT with a B.Sc. in physics and has a Ph.D. in marine geophysics from the Scripps Institution of Oceanography at the University of California, San Diego. Loren writes about MATLAB on her blog, The Art of MATLAB.
